Are you into zombies, blood and cinema? Then you’ll be happy to hear the Sitges film festival is around the corner!
It is well-known to be the first fantastic cinema festival in the world, taking place its first edition in 1968.
From October 6th to October 16th, Sitges will be hosting some of the most spectacular films that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Not only it is a unique opportunity to watch these films but also to attend many of the parallel activities organized by the team of the Festival: the horrific Zombiewalk, Open air cinema sessions, Exhibitions at the Old Sitges Market…
Big Opening and Grand Finale
“Venus” directed by Jaume Balagueró starring Spanish actress Ester Expósito will open this year’s edition. It is the second project from The Fear Collection, the Spanish film label specializing in the horror and suspense film genre.
Then the Grand Finale will be lead by “Bones and all” starring Timothée Chalamet, a drama based on the novel of the same name by Camille de Angelis.
Other jewels of the festival are The Midnight Club series (Ep 1, 2), V/H/S 99, Deadstream and Ding-Dong challenge.
Tickets are still available for some films but if you don’t have the chance to be a spectator at the cinema, you can always be a spectator of the different events happening during the spookiest days of the catalan culture.
